All of the following content represents examples and select portions of art challenges for students working on pre-college art paths. My experiences as an Art Instructor guiding students towards art mastery has been some of the most important work in my overall art career. As I demonstrate some art examples, I am also including art collaborations with students using their favorite designs.
I guided students through the early stages of art development using both traditional and digital mediums. My goal as an artist was to introduce real-world applications for study. I built an art curriculum within a student-led environment where students themselves take leadership in organizing their own art-based clubs as a form of educational growth.
As a fun challenge to students who want to create comics, imagining a character idea can be stressful. Ideas can be original or born from inspiration in other forms. Even reworking old ideas can lead to something amazing. With character creations, I use Photoshop with a Wacom tablet to draw my examples and work with students to fully realize their ideas.
Stop motion examples created to challenge beginning students on timing, audio, and storytelling silliness.
Created with Stop Motion Studio on iPad for internal class use.
